Zihuatanejo – a must see place in Mexico

Looking for the grand way to spend quality time with family then visit Zihuatanejo the gorgeous city of Mexico.  It is the 4th largest city of Guerrero the state of Mexico.

The majestic city is located at the Pacific Coast, which is 150 miles away from northwest-of-Acapulco, and it belongs to Mexican Pacific-Coast known as Costa Grande. The grand city still maintains its traditional look, and the town is sited on well-secluded bay which is also encumbered with private boat owners during the winter season.


The Sister Cities

Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo are called sister cities because of their identical integration, however the Zihuatanejo is more natural and contributes authenticity, and the Ixtapa is purpose-built most pleasant description of Mexico. The Zihuatanejo is also known as Zihua, it is a paradise on earth with beautiful beaches, happy and peaceful lifestyle, and friendly people the atmosphere makes you feel like extend your vacation and enjoy every moment of your stay. Zihua was known as sleepy-fishing-village, and during 1970’s it was a famous hideout fro hippies and pirates.

Tourism in Zihuatanejo

Zihuatanejo is now one of the famous tourist spot. People from all over the world are visiting this Mexican city to spend quality time with family. Many old guesthouses are replaced with Luxury Hotels. However, the part of the city still maintains it’s conservative and continues to have its historic charm.  The cobblestone street is filled with restaurants, boutique shops, bars and artisan studios, tourists can have lot of fun on this street.

The Guitar Festival

The international Guitar Festival was started in 2004 at Zihuatanejo, their intention to bring the culture, tourism and international music to Zihuatanejo, Mexico. Every spring the city organizes a non-profit, community funded guitar festival and invites the guitarists from all part of the world.
