Near the town of Ninh Binh, an hour and a half from Hanoi, Vietnam, are the caves of Tam Coc (the translation would be “three caves”), in the karst landscape environment Ngo Dong River. The area is known as “Ha Long bay inside.” In a boat trip, we will go into a lost world, including canals and rice fields where the Vietnamese rural life goes unchanged for hundreds of years, and where the views are nothing short of amazing.
With the growth of tourism, the harmony of the place may be overshadowed by the insistent minority sellers. But nothing compares when navigating through the canals and rivers.
Finally, it is important to consider a rigorous sun protection on a tour of Tam Coc, including a hood and we will not complain about being there too cautious.
