The Beaches of Thailand

They are for sure among the the most beautiful beaches in the world. And you must visit these beaches in Thailand before mass tourism and all that entails ruin it forever. We guarantee you that it will be difficult for you not to fall in love with this land of tranquility.  This is Koh Lipe, a small island that is part of the Tarutao National Marine Park and is located close to the coast of Malaysia. The sea is crystal clear and very warm, the islanders are confidential and friendly.

The island has three main beaches: Sunset Beach, Sunrise Beach and Pattaya beach and each of which you can stay in simple huts of wood or cheap bungalows complete with air conditioning. I always recommend the huts: on the other hand, there is nothing more than a hammock and a good book.

If you like quiet, choose Sunset Beach, where you can spend your days lazing lulled by the waves and blinded by the glare of the sun. For those who like a more eventful life, the Pattaya beach offers a wide choice of restaurants and beach bars with music and visitors who are always ready to celebrate. The island is so small that in an hour, you can walk through it. So if you decide to stay in Sunset and want to spend a pleasant night in the company, you can easily reach Pattaya and Sunrise beach for a drink or dinner on the beach.

Among the activities are scuba diving and snorkeling. The experiences offer unique and unrepeatable in the waters of the coral reef that is home to 60% for tropical fish with iridescent colors. Since the barrier reef that surrounds the island is one of the most beautiful, some schools have emerged offering scuba diving lessons for tourists eager to learn diving. In addition, many shops and resorts rent equipment and organize the necessary boat trips to nearby islands. If you want to visit one of the many atolls that surpassed during the journey by boat to reach Koh Lipe, explore the sea by choosing local transport, noisy longtail boats that charge only 50 Bath per person will take you anywhere.

In high season (November-May) you can reach the island by boat from Pak Bara, Langkawi, Phi Phi, Ko Lanta, or Trang. In the low season (May-October) there is only one speed boat a day that starts from Pak Bara (it is advised to check the timings before you make the journey by sea to avoid unpleasant surprises). If you want to land on Koh Lipe from neighboring Malaysia, in Langkawi there are two speedboat day in high season and the immigration office procedures are simple and fast.
