Mountains carved by man for centuries, mountains with steep abysses of the earth, mountains that look like fairy tale, with hanging woods, with eternal flames, shaped like pyramids, with an incredible range of colors, that create an exemplary work of art. An examples of such landscape is the Banaue Rice Terraces, located in the Republic of the Philippines.
Over hundreds of years in the Philippines, the descendants of the native peoples were responsible for carving Batad Mountains to suit their needs for agricultural production. The result of the activity performed in a manual mode is a massive work: an area of over 10,000 square kilometers of mountains, fully carved agricultural terraces on its slopes in the area of Banaue.
This wonder is found in the municipality in the province Ifugao, Philippines.
