The Eureka Valley in San Francisco

Eureka Valley, just south of Market Street and west of Castro, indicates a small neighborhood of San Francisco that is able to give some surprises to its visitors. These surprises include a spectacular view of the Kite Hill, where you can enjoy the city from the top.

The public park is maintained by the residents, who have made it popular among tourists who curious to learn more about the habits of those who live in this beautiful city.

Also in this park, you can find the free slide whuch was built after a competition among the residents. The competition was won by a fourteen year old. The slide is much loved by children and adults. But beware though, because it is a very fast ramp constructed of concrete, and therefore not suitable for children. This is not recommended, unless you are properly dressed.

The Rocket Boat in San Francisco

The program is for 135 passengers aboard a speedboat that reaches speeds of 44 knots, for a spectacular view of the Bay and the city as the loud rock music makes it even more exciting.

Departures are hourly from half past eleven and tickets cost $26 per person. For children, tickets cost $20. You can also book online and take advantage of the Bay Cruise Adventure Package that costs about $40 and $43 for the Escape from the Rock Package.

Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco

The next time you go to San Francisco, do not forget to visit the Fisherman’s Wharf, if you have not already been. The Fisherman’s Wharf is a major tourist attraction with restaurants, aquariums and very old trams.

From here, you can enjoy an exceptional view of the Golden Gate Bridge. There are also daily boat tours to the island prison of Alcatraz.

The Fisherman’s Wharf  is the oldest area of the fishermen. Here, you can catch a good glimpse of sea lions, fishes, crustaceans and molluscs.

The Fisherman’s Wharf is located on Jefferson Street, between Hyde and Powell Streets. However,, finding a parking area is difficult and  the parking charges are very expensive. It is recommended to get there by public transport.
