Jerusalem Closes Bridge that Leads to Temple Mount, the Western Wall Temple Mount Plaza of the Kotel Jerusalem IsraelThe fragile condition of the peace in Israel, affects all decisions. Such is the case of the so-called bridge of the Mugravíes, which connects the Plaza of the Kotel, the Western Wall, with the Temple Mount, has been closed for fear of a landslide.

Fearing landslide, engineer Shlomo Eshkol, asked the foundation of the heritage of the Western Wall, Kotel Ha Maaraví, to be closed immediately and prohibit it from use. City officials stressed that the precarious wooden footbridge is a threat because it is highly flammable and is in danger of collapse.

But this decision could trigger a wave of protests in the Islamic world and, given this possibility, Prime Minister Biniamín Netanyahu, has not yet determined the demolition of the walkway.

Thus, the director of the Islamic organization said that Israel ‘is trying to negatively alter the tradition under the guise of security concerns’.

The truth is that this bridge is crossed daily by hundreds of parishioners, tourists and members of security. Only the Jews can enter the Temple Mount if they close the bridge.  For the time being, the area has been completely sealed and the municipal engineer of Jerusalem has reported that they may do so only in cases of emergency.

Eilat is a resort that is located in the Negev Desert on the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba and is washed by the Red Sea. This area is bordered by the city of Taba in Egypt and Aqaba in Jordan.

The territory was founded in the tenth century before the common era, during the time of King Solomon. The city was then called Ezion-Geber and was an important point to negotiate with the countries of Ophir and Sheba.

Eilat is a luxury resort and one of the major tourist attractions in Israel. This city is home to 55,000 people and has everything  tourists look for on their vacation. Beautiful beaches, coral formations, fun, and shopping. The place also offers a host of activities for lovers of water sports: diving, swimming, windsurfing, surfing, water skiing, kite surfing, boat rides, and more. Do not miss either the Coral World Marine Park, which is an underwater observatory in the Red Sea. You will see the wonderful marine life of the place through the Aquarium Museum, Shark Tank, and reef tank.

Eilat has warm and dry climate, making it an appealing destination for all seasons. If you arrive during the spring and summer, do observe different birds because Eilat is located on the route of migratory birds flying from Europe to Africa and vice versa.
