The year 2012 is the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, and Belfast is preparing to celebrate the event with the Belfast Titanic Festival (this is because the liner was built right here, from the shipyards of Harland and Wolff?).
The celebration starts with the opening on March 31 dell’avveniristico Belfast Titanic, a museum whose walls simulate four hulls, gleaming and sharp. Inside you will find multimedia and interactive installations to enter the ship and know their innermost secrets. On April 7, the cradle of the launch of the ill-fated ocean liner, will host a unique spectacle of light. On the 14th of April, the night of the sinking, Eric Whitacre will head the Virtual Choir, a choir consisting of about 2,000 virtual voices singing in unison. The performance would surely really exciting piece.
The insider tip: There are also the Titanic Boat Tour, the places are inextricably linked to the Transatlantic shipyards, port and platforms from which the giants of the seas slip into the water.
