The Banaue Rice Terraces

Mountains carved by man for centuries, mountains with steep abysses of the earth, mountains that look like fairy tale, with hanging woods, with eternal flames, shaped like pyramids, with an incredible range of colors, that create an exemplary work of art. An examples of such landscape is the Banaue Rice Terraces, located in the Republic of the Philippines.

Over hundreds of years in the Philippines, the descendants of the native peoples were responsible for carving Batad Mountains to suit their needs for agricultural production. The result of the activity performed in a manual mode is a massive work: an area of over 10,000 square kilometers of mountains, fully carved agricultural terraces on its slopes in the area of Banaue.

This wonder is found in the municipality in the province Ifugao, Philippines.

A Huge, Icy Desolate Island

This is one of the largest islands in the world, that is most uninhabited, desolated, unexplored, and no place for tourism.

This is the world’s oldest north of the Arctic Circle. The Bafffin island resembles a lost world and ice cream. Since this place is not been toured compared to those of Paris, Thailand, Indonesia, and the like, we will leave you images of the Arctic Circle.

During the day, you can witness an all white land that resembles a vanilla ice cream. At night, there is the beautiful sighting of the Aurora Burealis.

A Battle Between Fire and Ice in Iceland

Iceland offers unique natural contrasts with the eternal struggle between fire and ice, in areas such as the Fimmvorduhals.

In an area of glaciers and one of the most popular walking routes in the country, there are opening fissures from which the spring washes the snow into a stream.

This will definitely be something you don’t get to see everyday.

Four Caves with Blue Waters

In Brazil, Italy or Greece, there are examples of caves covered with crystal clear water where the effect of light makes them look like an intense blue hue. In one of them, the Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra) in Capri, the sea appears to be lit under water.

1. The Blue Lake Cave, Brazil

The Blue Lake Cave is a cave covered by the waters of a lake. The particularity of the place are its colors and the landscape that seems magical. It is located in the vicinity of Nice, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, a city famous for its natural attractions and ecotourism.

2. A cave with blue lake in Greece

I think the images illustrate very well. Melissani is a cave on the island of Cephalonia, northwest of Sami in Greece. While in the external environment, the forest covers the slopes of a mountain that reaches the sea, the coast guard a silent place with natural light and shadow effects and transparency of the water, it is a staging of nature spectacular.

3. The Blue Grotto, Italy

It seems that someone has placed blue lights under water, had the image go through Photoshop. But the reality is that, none of this is necessary. The Blue Grotto is a natural spectacle on the island of Capri as simple as surprising light entering from the outside is refracted into the water in the cave with a blue dramatically effect.

4. A Blue Cenote, Mexico

In Yucatan, Mexico, there vnumerous cavities known as dolines, sinkholes or depressions in karst relief. The Yucatan peninsula is one of the world’s highest number of cenotes . One of the most photogenic is the Dzitnup cenote, which is 2 kilometers from the city of Valladolid, also known as the Blue Cave.

The Stone Desert

The sandstone rock formation is only part of an incredible landscape and more extensive modeling for thousands of years by wind. In particular, this area full of swirls and waves of stone are called Coyote Buttes. This is a restricted area that can only get about 20 people a day after the permit process in the administrative area in the state of Arizona.

To discover these landscapes is not easy without some expert guidance, nor is it rare to return after a long walk of 5 miles without being able to find them.

While the wave of Arizona is the most photographed scenery, sandstone swirls are even more capricious in its formation and its “spiral” stripes.
