Cairo is a charming old city and is one of those fascinating capitals whose memory will last for ever.

This beautiful Egyptian city has a rich history. Its territory is bisected by the majestic Nile, extending on either side of bordering neighborhoods that weave an urban fabric marked by both Islamic architecture and modernity.

The center of Cairo, contemporary and inspiring, contains the majority of tourist facilities. The Corniche el-Nil is a very pleasant promenade, popular with Cairenes, along the Nile. The Coptic quarter, also known as “Old Cairo” hides among its temples, the beautiful Hanging Church.

Islamic Cairo fascinates visitors with its many mosques and Khan el-Khalili, its minarets and its enchanting souk. The city offers treasures that seem to emanate from a tale from the Arabian Nights. There are also caravanserais, a citadel and a museum, among the most impressive in the world.

Cairo is also offers a felucca ride on the Nile and incomparable historical tours along with a chance to explore the bazaars with intoxicating scents. One can always wind up the day by having a cup of coffee while watching the sublime chaos of everyday life.
